Tennis Friends
By the time you get this newsletter, the OLDlympics at Valley
Wide Parks and Rec may have concluded (Oct. 3 and 4). Maybe
the banquet is going on (Oct. 6). Congratulations to all the
participants and medal winners!
Some excting events are on the horizon.
First up is Four Seasons Play Day at Del Webb Solara on Sat.,
Oct. 24 at 8 am.
This is for residents of Four Seasons and Del Webb Solera
only. Sorry, no guests.
Brunch and awards will follow play. This is the same day as
the Four Seasons Car Show/Street Fair, from 9 am to 3 pm.
The vision is that we would play two men's, two women's, and
two mixed doubles. We would need six men and six women
signed up. Chuck Sims will collect the money ($10 each for
balls, food, etc.).
Please pass the word to our tennis friends. This event is in
the planning stages and some players here have expressed an
interest. Now is the time to formalize our player list. Chuck
Sims will field questions, suggestions, and sign-ups.
After that is the Four Season's Annual Tennis Tournament
and BBQ on Nov. 7 and 8 (Saturday and Sunday) at 8 am each
day.
Catch the barbecue on Sunday afternoon for good food and
the awarding of medals.
Eligibilty: Residents of Hemet Four Seasons. Sorry, no
guests. Must be able to play both days. Cost is $10 each to
cover expenses for medals, tennis balls, etc.
Format: To be determined by the number of entries.
Contact Paul Barr at ps.barr@hotmail.com or Earle Irvine
at encirvine@yahoo.com if you have not signed up yet as the
format will depend upon the sign-up list.
The matches should be fun to watch and play.
To get a picture of the tennis scene here at Four Seasons
contact Tracy Trousset, Trish Egan, or Chuck Sims or any other
tennis participant.
