FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | DECEMBER 2015 45 Meeting time has been changed to the second Thursday of the month. We will meet Dec. 10 at 6 pm in the Lodge Card Room. Last month we had a great trip to Lake Cachuma and as usual had great food at the barbeque, great food at Tavern and A J Spurs, some visited casinos, shopping in Solvang, touring the lake, and of course wine tasting. Thanks to Pat and Gordon Shepard for being wagon masters. We also went to Huntington Beach and had great time as always with great food at Luau. And as always the good food at Avila and the Crab Cooker, and shopping the downtown street fair, and walking the pier and of course can't forget the Dairy Queen. Thanks goes out to the wagon masters (Tim and Jane Jacobsons). I have to lose eight pounds after that month. The one thing we have at Four Seasons is great cooks, thanks to all the girls. We will be planning our next trips for January to Havasu/Parker area, and possible trips to Santee, San Diego area, Temecula, and Yuma. Please call Bill Guy at (951) 845-5627. ~ Bill Guy roadrunner RV'ers Six vehicles participated in the October trip. Don Fant was the leader, and we began by going up the old stage coach trail located just past Sun Lakes. We continued on to Lake Fulmor where we took a short break. It was sad to see the water level down over two feet. We exited Highway 243 onto 4S73. I can no longer say that we don't do extreme off roading. The last mile of this trail was rated Black Diamond, which is the most difficult rating. The trail was extremely eroded and took a joint effort to get everyone through. We had three new members who were initiated in an unexpected way but took on the challenge of this trail with enthusiasm. Kudos to them! We had a lot to talk about when we stopped for lunch. If you are interested in learning more about this group, please join us for our meeting which is held the second Tuesday of the month at 7 pm at the Lodge. Our monthly trip is usually the third Thursday of every month. We meet in the north parking lot of the Lodge at 8 am. Anyone who has a four-wheel drive vehicle is welcome. Most of the trips are on State service trails designated as four-wheel drive. We do not do extreme off roading (most of the time). If you have any questions call Bob Cooper at (951) 769-6352 or Steve Kenyon at (951) 660-1366. ~ Bob Cooper 4x4 Seasons Gordon and Pat Shepard, Dianne and Larry Anderson, Tanya and Bill Guy, Judy and Bill Winters at A J Spurs Roadrunners RV'ers group at Huntington Beach Luau enjoying food and margaritas.
