FALL BOOK FAIR: The Fall Book Fair was a great success! Many
thanks are extended to all Sun Lakers who participated in the book
sale by purchasing their favorite books. This allows us to make more
room on the book shelves to file new acquisitions. Many thanks
also go out to your Library Committee for spending many hours in
preparation of the event.
YOUR LIBRARY VOLUNTEERS: Our library volunteers recently
attended a special luncheon given in their honor recognizing them
for all of their hard work in keeping the book shelves ready for you to
browse. There were food, fun, raffles and generally a good time was
had by all. Thank you volunteers!
CHANGES TO THE SOUTH CLUBHOUSE LIBRARY: The South
Clubhouse library will now include a set of hardcover Reader's Digest
books for you to borrow and enjoy. Also, we are adding a selection
of audio books (CD format only) for you to borrow and enjoy. If the
audio books prove popular, we will add additional ones to the library
in the near future. Let us know what you think about these changes
to your library.
SEASONAL BOOKS FOR YOU TO READ: Autumn brings with it
cooler weather, an earlier darkening of the skies and many strange
creatures lurking in the dark corners of our back yards. During
this season, many of us tend to read books that reveal super natural
events and scary subject matters that keep us on our toes and ready
to run. Stay on edge this year and visit one of our four local libraries
to borrow and read horror stories that tingle the blood.
Typical authors of the genre include Dean Koontz, Stephen King
and Michael Crichton. Each of these authors is available in one of
our libraries. While visiting the library be sure and borrow your copy
and return home before it gets too dark!
