"An Old Fashioned Christmas Holiday Luncheon" will be presented on Wed., Dec. 9. The cost is $23 pp and your check should be made out to the Garden Cub. Ticket sales are going briskly as this is a very popular event during the month of December. Please call Betty Beidelman at 769-6200 for your tickets. Here are the important dates for you to buy See's Candies for your family and friends and support the Garden Club Charities, of which there are many. The dates are Dec. 16, 17, 18 and 19, Wednesday through Saturday. We will be in the Main Clubhouse Lobby from 9 am to 2 pm those days. For more information please call Maureen Keeney at 797-0011. TRIPS: The Historic Mission Inn Hotel excursion for the Festival of Lights Experience will be Dec. 2. Hurry and call Evelyn Hawkins at 845-7199 or 616-4542 and see if there are any seats left on the big bussy. CHARITIES: The Garden Club recently donated funds to the Pass Resource Center for a student gardening project that is a joy for the students there. One of the projects they would like to take on is raising succulents that they can sell. If you have succulents and you are willing to share cuttings off them, please call Ginger Kahler at 769-6069. The Garden Club Penny Pines project has collected enough monies to purchase trees for 11 more acres. Penny Pines is a program where you can purchase trees to plant in our local forests in memory of a loved one or any other occasion that you would like to see trees planted. If you are interested in gardening books the Garden Club does have informational books available to check out for your personal use. Ask when you come to the meetings. Please keep bringing your donations of soaps, lotions and personal products. We have homes for all of them and we thank you. Also those box tops, cell phones, eye glasses, stuffed animals and small suit cases. Please remember that all those wonderful plants that the Garden Club gives away at every meeting come from our generous, local nursery, Cherry Valley Nursery.
