34 | Sun lakeS lifeStyleS | JanuaRy 2016 | It's a new year at Dinner Dance Club and we're happy to have so many wonderful members. January's dance is Sat., Jan. 23. Doors open at 5:15 pm as Ralph and Marilyn Yates will be giving us another great dance lesson beginning at 5:30; Dress attire for the evening is dressy and we'll dance the night away with "A Touch of Class." Sign ups will be received between Jan. 7 and Jan. 15 by leaving your checks and sign-up form in the mailbox located on the front gate at 782 Torrey Pines Rd. As always, groups can sign up together, and don't forget to indicate your seating preference. We'll do our best to accommodate. Questions? Feel free to call Carla at 797-3506. Our menu begins with a tasty Caesar salad and rolls, followed by one of these great entrees: 1) Shrimp scampi over wild rice with mushrooms and green onion for $23; 2) Tender tri-tip topped with caramelized onions $21; both entries served with roasted red new potatoes and haricot verts with bacon bits and onion; 3) Vegetarian lasagna is the vegetarian selection for this evening at $18; Dessert will be bread pudding with whiskey sauce. If you sign up and are unable to attend, you may call Carla at 797- 3506 before 3 pm on the day of the dance, and she will arrange for you to pick up your meal to enjoy at home. Looking forward to starting off our New Year by sharing this great evening with all our dancing friends! Dinner Dance Club Well, we just got through 2015 and another hectic Holiday season. But before you get too complacent, we will keep you busy with our January schedule. The dance schedule is as follows: Fri., Jan. 15 - Country Western Dance Fri., Jan. 29 - Country Western Dance The Friday night Country Western Dances are in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom starting at 7 pm and lasting to about 9 pm. All evening long we do both line dances and couples dances. The Monday evening line dance classes continue to be very popular. We are now teaching intermediate difficulty line dances. The first instruction for 2016 will be Monday, Jan. 11. Lessons will also be on Mon., Jan. 18 and 25th. Lessons are at the South Clubhouse from 7 to 8:30 pm. Couples instructions will be on Tues., Jan. 12 and 26, at the South Clubhouse from 7 to 8 pm. Looking forward, we will be teaching basic waltz steps for couples in February.
