FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JANUARY 2016 31 Seasoned solos Attention all singles! Come join us for fun and adventures. We attend concerts, plays, miniature golf, picnics, luncheons and much more. We meet to make plans on the first Friday of each month in the Craft Room. Meetings are at 6 pm. For information call Monica Sarafian at (951) 922-8805. ~ Toby Davis Ballroom & Social Dance Our group has taken a short break from dancing for a few weeks over the holiday season. Dance sessions start again in our Lodge Ballroom on Monday evening, Jan. 4, as follows: • 6 pm – Introduction to ballroom and social dancing, for those who have never danced before and want to discover what it's like. Simple step by step instructions will get you going. • 6:30 pm – Basic dance instructions, for those who want to improve and learn many types of dancing. • 7 pm – Advanced instructions, for those who want to learn more advanced steps and routines. It's very simple: we dance for fun. No criticism, no points, no competition, just ordinary folks who enjoy moving to the sound and beat of the music. And what we learn helps us to dance at wedding receptions, on cruises, at parties and even on crowded dance floors. Club captains: Gary and Puring Stifter. Contacts: Puring and Gary Stifter at (951) 922-8333, or at purings@verizon.net. ~ Willis Fagan Well, it's that time of year again; many of us make resolutions to be more active, or to lose weight. You live in the right place. We have so many physical activities to help us get healthier. There is the exercise room and many folks in there will assist you in figuring out how to use the machines. There is pickleball, paddle ball and tennis or the slower paced bocce ball. You can simply walk our trails or join the hiking group. There are three dance groups. Many of these are free, or have a very low fee. You just need to show up and give them a try. If you have physical limitations there are multiple card groups, Bunco or craft activities. The best part is you meet new people. Just check your Breeze for times and places for the activities that interest you. Line dancing does not require a partner. It does require concentration, which is so good for your brain. It mostly requires that you are able to move your feet. I teach one step at a time and start with very easy dances. Hopefully in the next few months my foot will be sufficiently healed that I will be able to teach a 30 minute beginners only class. Please watch the upcoming articles for that class. We will resume our line dancing classes Tuesday, Jan. 5. Please join us in the Ballroom for the beginner class at 3 pm or the advanced class at 3:45 pm. I ask for a one dollar donation each week which goes towards our end of the year party. ~ Martha Franck Line Dancing 5% Military Discount (former & current members) Ask for the Jarhead! 909-965-8404 Since 1985 Licensed & Insured DON'S TREE SERVICE • Ornamental Beautification of Trees • Preventative Maintenance from Wind Destruction • Correct Pruning, Trimming Skills • Tree Removals, Stump Grinding • Tree Planting/Transplanting We are finally getting ready to start our new folk dancing class here at Four Seasons.
