We have a great club, and we're sure you will have a "swinging good time" at all of our events. March promises to be another great month with music by a club favorite: Generations. Our dance is Sat., March 19. Doors open at 5:30 pm and Ralph and Marilyn Yates will be providing a dance lesson to help us glide along the dance floor with ease! Dress for the evening is "dressy" … and the menu sounds delicious. Starting the evening we will have a wonderful dinner salad with mandarin oranges, cucumbers and candied pecans. Entrée choices are as follows: 1) Pork shanks with mixed wild and white rice and mushrooms $23.50; 2) Pot roast with gravy and mashed potatoes $21.50. Both are served with broccoli with onion butter sauce. 3) Vegetarian option is fettuccini alfredo with broccoli and mushrooms for $18.50. Dessert sounds great: Apple walnut upside down cake! Sign ups are March 1-10 — just leave your check & sign-up form in the box located on the front gate at 782 Torrey Pines Rd. Sign up with a group if you like and request your favorite table location. We'll do our best to accommodate your request, but you will be given the next best location if your choice is not available. Remember to check out our new website to see the table locations and print out your sign up form. Remember to call Carla at 797-3506 before 3 pm on the day of the dance if you have signed up and are unable to attend. She can arrange for you to pick up your meal to enjoy at home. See you at the dance! Dinner Dance Club We have just one dance this month on Fri., March 11, in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom from 7 to 9 pm. Looking ahead to April, we will again have Mike Novak as our guest DJ and dance instructor. So mark your calendars for Fri., April 8, and plan on coming to another entertaining, high energy evening of music and dance. Line dance instruction are on Mondays, March 7, 14, 21 and 28. Line dance instructions are in the South Clubhouse from 7 to 8:30 pm. We will have a totally new dance at the March 28 instruction date. We are currently teaching intermediate difficulty dances. We will start over with basic dances again in August and September. But, feel free to come and see what we do and how we do it at any of our events. We also do couples dance instruction. This month will be special. We will be teaching the West Coast Swing. Since this dance is a little more challenging, we have reserved all five Tuesday evenings in the South Clubhouse. The dates are Tuesdays, March 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29 from 7 to 8 pm in the South Clubhouse. To get the most benefit try to make all five dates. Have questions or need more information?
