FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MARCH 2016 39 Before I get started on March, I'd like to jump back to February. Thank you to everyone who came out to support the Performing Arts Club and our Radio Shows in February. You were truly a fantastic audience and we enjoyed your involvement in what we we're doing, as much as you were enjoying what we were doing on stage. We really do appreciate our neighbors coming out on a Friday night to join us for some dinner and light-hearted entertainment. From all of us to you, thanks! Next up on our list of Friday night fun is going to be a variety show. I've asked John Horning, the producer of the upcoming production, to put a synopsis together. Here it is: April 1, 6:30 pm. Save the date! Go mark your calendars now; the rest of the article will still be here when you get back. Finished? Great! So, what's the big deal? It's the next variety show called, Imagine! A Trip Through the '60s. It's been said that if you remember the '60s, you weren't really there. We know that isn't true and we'll prove it to you. So much happened during that decade. The British invasion changed our music; television came into its own; we had the Cold War; there were three political assassinations; and trips into space including landing on the moon… and of course, hippies! Whether you were part of the counter culture or a member of the silent majority, you were part of something big. To paraphrase John Lennon, we all tried to change the world. We had some successes and some failures, but most of all, we have memories. So come take a walk down memory lane with us and relive the most exciting decade of our lives. This show is suitable for family viewing, but please leave your mind altering meds and edibles at home. Feel free to bring a bottle of wine and something to eat. Better yet, purchase your dinner at Smitty's Bistro. If you would like to participate in the show, please contact me or John Horning at prestoguy@gmail.com. We welcome both performers and backstage help. If you have any questions, please email terimk@verizon.net or call (951) 992-9156. ~ Teri Meyers-Kelman 5% Military Discount (former & current members) Ask for the Jarhead! 909-965-8404 Since 1985 Licensed & Insured DON'S TREE SERVICE • Ornamental Beautification of Trees • Preventative Maintenance from Wind Destruction • Correct Pruning, Trimming Skills • Tree Removals, Stump Grinding • Tree Planting/Transplanting Performing Arts Club Imagine!
