FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MARCH 2016 45 Our January outing took us to Quartzsite, Arizona. Along with thousands of others we bravely walked through the tent and other exhibits purchasing items we didn't know we needed, and as we discovered, we really didn't need them. One of our members purchased a new RV while we were there. Congratulations to Ron and Cheryl Burke as they are the proud owners of a beautiful "Discovery." As many of us have jeeps we did some off-roading and a little target practice. Needless to say, a fun time was had by all. Our trip in February was to Calico with wagon masters Steve and Luann Kenyon and Bob and Sue Cooper leading the way. If you are interested in joining an active fun- loving group of RV folks, come to our next meeting and see what we have to offer. We meet the second Tuesday of each month in the Lodge at 6 pm. ~ Ann Williams All Seasons RV On Feb. 28 seven vehicles went through Berdoo Canyon. This canyon is located in the Little San Bernardino Mountains. The route enters the canyon and remains in the wash for most of the way. The high-walled canyon has relatively little vegetation between its striking, pale-colored rock walls. The route through the mountains is twisty and dramatic. The trail is mainly easygoing but there are several rough, rocky sections that require careful wheel placement, giving the trails its 4x4 rating. It connects into the Joshua Tree Geological Tour. We finished the trip with lunch at the Joshua Tree Saloon. If you are interested in learning more about this group, please join us for our meeting which is held the second Tuesday of the month at 7 pm at the Lodge. Our monthly trip is usually the third Thursday of every month. We meet in the north parking lot of the Lodge at 8 am. Anyone who has a four-wheel-drive vehicle is welcome. Most of the trips are on state service trails designated as four-wheel drive. We do not do extreme off-roading (most of the time). If you have any questions, call Bob Cooper at (951) 769-6352 or Steve Kenyon at (951) 660-1366. ~ Bob Cooper 4x4 Seasons El NiƱo has never really arrived here in Southern California, so as a result, we are having wonderful weather for traveling in our RVs! Our group has some great trips planned, so please join us! Feb. 8-10 is Yuma; March 6-12 is Pechanga-Temecula; May is Paso Robles; October is San Clemente; and Nov. is Pahrump-Death Valley. If you wish to join us or find out more info please call Bill Guy at (951) 845-5627, or Jane Jacobson at (951) 797-3563. ~ Jane Jacobson Roadrunner RVers Members of the Roadrunners RV club enjoy champagne breakfast at Emerald Cove.
