| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | APRIL 2016 |27 The flowers are blooming and the grass is green. Easter is over and the Easter Egg hunt, which is an annual event for the grandkids at my house, is also over. As I get older, filling those eggs isn't as much fun as it used to be. A few months down the line I will find an egg hidden in my yard and hope it is one filled with money. As usual, it is the one with candy. I sure don't need that. Our next meeting and caregiver support group will meet Thurs., April 21 at 10 am in the Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. We do not have a guest speaker this month. This will give each of you more time to participate in the support group, something that is so important for each of you. Mark your calendars for May 19 for speaker Stuart Furman from southern California legal center, Inc. in Valley Center. He will speak on demystifying elder care, how to use your legal documents, access to information/documentation and how to pro-actively pack the elder suitcase. Our patient group meets in the Arts and Crafts Room. This group is designed to help you — the caregiver. Just drop your loved one off and go on to the meeting. Enjoy the meeting and support group knowing your loved one is well taken care of and having fun. We play games, do exercises, have entertainment and do just about anything your loved one wants. Our volunteers are loving and caring. This month we are happy to have Tin Man's Heart (Lee and Michael Stone) entertain our loved ones. They were here in January and everyone had a really good time. Thank you so much to Carl Parrish and his service dog Nelson for the wonderful visit. Carl and Nelson stop by occasionally and we are always happy for the visit. If you have any questions about the meeting, support group or patient group, call me (Anne) at 845-8700 or Diane at 769-0130. We are here to help you. We also have reading material we can loan you. Give Joanie a call at 769-1386. Continuing with the 50 things you should know about Alzheimer's Disease, here are numbers 28, 29, and 30: 28.
