This month's article will be brief and to the
point. I want to say thank you.
It was three years ago this month that the
Bereavement Group began. And during those
three years I have been most privileged to share
in the lives of so many terrific people.
Most of you have come to the group a bit
reticent and cautious, not at all sure what you
were getting in to. But soon you began to share
about yourselves and listen to the others, and
much of your reticence disappeared. Very soon
you were engaged in the group dynamic, each
of us giving and taking, helping ourselves while
helping each other. Healing took place and
growth ensued.
And it is truly a gift to be a part of this amazing
process, over and over.
So thank you, each of you who has so enriched
my life and those of your companions on this
journey. We have each experienced a broken
heart, and it is with each other's help that we are
learning to go forward and to honor those we
have lost by sharing the gifts they gave us as our
spouses, our parents, our siblings and even our
children. It has been an honor to get to know
them through you.
We will be meeting again on Mondays from 1
to 3 pm in the Crafts Room at the Lodge. If you
