FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MAY 2016 39 Bridge for Fun Bridge for Fun meets on Wednesdays and Mondays at 12 noon sharp. We rotate partners and tables in a party bridge format. We encourage pre-discussion of our personal conventions with each partner before the play. Our Spring Fling party planned by Verina R. and Phil I. and hosted by Carol and Harry Oliver was such a hit we are already planning our July party. New members John, Polly and Sally have shown great improvement. We thank Phil for the coffee setups for last month and would love to have more treats donated. Wednesday info.: Verina Rector (951) 769-1687 or Phil Irving (951) 922-2525. Monday info., Bill Guy (951) 845-5627. ~ Dr. Phil So, did you enjoy Imagine! A Trip Through The 60s, variety/comedy show, last month? What? You missed it? No problem. For those of you who went to the show, would you like to see it again? Well, you can. According to the information I was given, go to fourseasons@ beaumont.com and you will be able to view the show in the privacy of your own home. For our amphitheater fans, good news. We're starting off the 2016 season on May 15 with the first of five shows. A terrific country/ western band that's sure to get your hands clapping, your feet tapping, and you singing along to your favorite songs. Please refer to The Breeze about the rules regarding the amphitheater on what you can and cannot bring with you. Our July Fourth Patriotic Show is going to be produced by John Noonan this year. The choir is still being led by Barbara Wasco, our creative and very patient choir master. We began rehearsing for this special show mid April. If you have any interest in joining us for this fun day, we practice every Monday afternoon at 3 pm, in the Lodge Ballroom. All voices are welcome. Our next radio show is going to be on Friday, Oct. 7. Tom Shelley will be producing once again, as he is just so good at it. Due to the overwhelming positive response to the last show, there will be another installment of Blondie. The other show has yet to be determined, but a mystery is being considered. If anyone is interested in having a speaking part, remember, no memorization is needed, you read directly from a script. It's radio, remember! It is important that you contact Tom to let him know of your interest in being part of the Radio Show, as he needs to find scripts that have appropriate parts for both men and women. You can reach him at tomshelley1@ verizon.net. If you've been reading these articles or have been attending our shows, you can see that the Performing Arts Club is one of the clubs where we have the most fun. If you are interested in becoming more familiar with our group, participating in one of our shows, or simply have a question or two, simply email me at terimk@verizon.net or call (951) 992-9156. ~ Teri Meyers-Kelman Performing Arts Club Bridge for Fun club members at the Spring Fling Party Amphitheater Summertime in Four Seasons is just around the corner heralding the beginning of our monthly Summer Concert series. This summer of 2016 offers a variety of musical talent that will not only bring back memories of your favorite tunes, but will also have you dancing in the aisles. Kicking off the first concert on Sunday, May 15, is a classic rock group - Southbound and Company. These four talented musicians pay tribute to early rock (Buddy Holly and the Crickets), and southern influenced groups, (Lynyrd Skynyrd and Creedence Clearwater Revival). The group resides in Riverside County and travels the country performing in Southern California, Las Vegas, Arizona and as far east as Disney World. The concert begins at 7 pm at the Amphitheater, located adjacent to the tennis courts. To reserve a spot, you are welcome to bring your chairs during the day, but remember to leave room for folks to sit on the concrete risers. (Note: placing a "reserved" sign will not hold your spot.) Don't forget to consider sitting on the pool deck to listen to the music. You are welcome to bring a beverage of your choice which must be in a non-glass container. Don't forget a jacket or sweater, once the sun goes down so does the temperature. Summer Schedule: June 12 - The Boys and the Beez July 17 - Woody and The Longboards Aug. 21 - The South Pasadena Transit Authority Sept. 18 - Ticket2Ride ~ Elaine SanFilippo
