OUR YUCAIPA | MAY 2016 15 Oak Valley Musical Theater Camp in Yucaipa is offering summer camp for children ages six to 18 years. Camp runs six weeks from 1 to 4 pm June 21- July 28 with performances on July 29 and 30. The workshop includes acting basics, creative movement, vocal instruction, dance, improv, games and show rehearsals. Fees are $400 for the session plus a $30 registration fee for those who are not Oak Valley students. Fee includes all materials and costumes. The first will be June 20-24 and the second from July 25-29. Drop off is 8:30 am and pick up is 3 pm daily. The price per boot camp is $185 with a discount for families that enroll more than one child. The price includes a daily snack and lunch. "Hapkido boot camp is a great choice for parents that are looking to build their child's self-esteem, discipline and self-confidence without making them aggressive towards others. Some of the activities offered during boot camp include self-defense techniques, rolling, falling, board breaking and team building activities such as relay races and jump rolling competitions," said Jose Esparza, Hapkido Yucaipa Chief Instructor. Pilgrim Pines offers camps for kids ages first grade to graduates and offers hiking, dancing, talent shows, ropes course, sleep outs, leadership and worship. There is a separate program for those with special needs.
