The 8 Ball in-house tournament turned out to be a historical event
for our club.
Thanh Harrah went through four rounds of play against 11 other
team members, all the way to the finals, undefeated. Not only that
but Mary Ann Diehl came into the finals with only one defeat on the
day oddly enough handed to her in round three by Thanh. For the
first time in 8 Ball Club history, these two expert women players vied
for the monthly championship. Thanh Harrah remained undefeated
and won the monthly honor as 8 Ball In-House Champion.
Congratulations to both of these ladies for an excellent entertaining
battle.
9 Ball was interesting this month as well. Last month Larry
Rice was undefeated going into the finals, and he repeated that feat
this month too. Last month he was defeated but he would not be
turned away this month. In an epic battle with Rocket Spinosa in
the finals, Larry made a rare 2-9-3-9 combination to win the day.
