Here come the lazy days of summer. However, with all of the dance opportunities this month, I doubt if many people will fit into the "lazy" category. Check this out in that regard: We have the 4th of July where people are dancing around the facilities just because it's a fun day, then we have a line dance party on Friday, July 15 in the Ballroom at 5:30 pm, followed by a Heart and Soul dance party on Saturday, July 16 (time TBD) which is followed again by the Ballroom Dance Club's Summer Fun Dance starting at 4:30 pm on Saturday, July 23. There's not a soul out there that needs to count calories this month with all this dancing going on! Woo hoo! Now for the culture and brainy part of our summer fun. Don't miss out on coming to the Lodge and viewing the beautiful photography of our own Four Seasons Camera Club (that's the culture part). It is super inspiring and will make you want to play harder with your camera and phone camera (don't forget the saying "The best camera to have is the one you have with you") you'll see some creative and artistic photographic perspectives that even Ansel Adams would be jealous of. Come get a peek for yourself. Speaking of art (okay, crafts) a new interest group is starting on Friday, July 8 at 1 pm in the Craft Room. It's called Crafty Cardmakers. They are planning to have a meeting on the second Friday of each month where they'll make three awesome cards. There is a $6 charge for the materials and you will only need to bring scissors and glue. For more information contact Maryalice Chorba at (951) 849-6336 or email at chorbaparidise@yahoo.com The final thing not to miss this July is The Password Game with Gail being held in the Ballroom on Friday night, July 29 at 6 pm (this is the brainy part I was talking about). Come play the old TV password game with us Four Seasons style and win some prizes. You're welcome to bring your dinner in from the Bistro or just your favorite beverage from home. This will be full of laughs that make you think. There is no price of admittance and everyone is welcome. Have a wonderful July and see you around the Lodge. 16 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JULY 2016 Activities Director Corner JULY 2 Tennis Wimbledon Party 4 4th of July Celebration 15 Desert Boogie Dance 17 Amphitheater Concert 23 Summer Fun Dance 25 Photo Display 29 Password Game 30 Karaoke AUGUST 5 AACC Motown Show 13 Country Western 19 Desert Boogie Dance 20 Karaoke 21 Amphitheater Concert 26 Piano Night 27 Magic Show SEPTEMBER 3 Tennis US Open Party 17 Karaoke 18 Amphitheater Grand Finale 24 Art Fair 30 Piano Night OCTOBER 7 Radio Show 8 HOA Garage Sale 15 Craft Boutique 18 Tennis Banquet 21 Love & Marriage Show 22 Karaoke NOVEMBER 11 Veterans Day 12 Karaoke DECEMBER 2 & 3 Holiday Extravaganza 9 Ballroom Dance Christmas 10 AACC Christmas Dance 13 Holiday Magic Show 15 Wine Club Holiday Formal 23 Karaoke Kristmas 31 New Years Eve By Cindy Graves, Activities Director UPCOMING EVENTS Krystal Orellana has been a smiling presence at the Lodge front desk for almost 10 years. She joined Four Seasons six months into its existence. She has helped train all the other Lodge attendants and has assisted countless residents with their concerns and inquiries. Krystal has five children: Celeste, 20; Junior, 19; Celene, 18; Kaeleen, 10 and Matthew, 7 and husband Richard. She is leaving us for a job with the Riverside County Board of Education as a community assistant. She will be doing home evaluations of children entering the Head Start Program. We wish her well. We will miss her. ~ Leighton McLaughlin Following is her goodbye message to Four Seasons. I am grateful to be carrying on all the wisdom I have learned from sitting at the Front Desk and assisting you wonderful homeowners. I will be leaving Four Seasons with so many fond memories and friendships as I start my new journey as a community assistant for the County of Riverside. I am truly grateful for all the blessings everyone has bestowed upon me. I will never forget the wonderful memories the community has given me such as surprising my family and me with holiday presents, exchanging unforgettable conversations and jokes or watching homeowners enjoy their time here. So many homeowners have helped shape and mold me into the person I am today. Working here and serving you all has been my honor and I am leaving a better person because of it. Saying goodbye to you all is the hardest part of moving on from Four Seasons. Thank you all for your kindness and friendship. I will miss you all very much. Krystal Orellana Bids Farewell
