FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JULY 2016 45
On Memorial Day three of our members, Steve Sarchett, Charles Price and Paul Bricker along
with Paul's brother participated in the annual West Coast Thunder motorcycle rally to honor our
fallen military heroes.
2016 marked West Coast Thunder's 17th Anniversary. The event started with an opening ceremony
at Riverside Harley-Davidson, and then about 7,500 motorcycles rolled on to the Riverside National
Cemetery to place flags for the fallen, and then on to Soboba Casino where the salute continued with
a live performance by Warner Bros. recording artist Frankie Ballard. This is a very large event where
the Highway Patrol shuts down the on-ramps to the freeway to allow the rally to proceed as a group.
This year's event raised $680,000 for the Riverside National Cemetery. ~ Howard Lyon
