Have a safe and relaxing holiday weekend. Stay cool and hydrated! We will resume TGIF on Fri., July 15 with a concert evening potluck! We will be showing One Night Only - ROD STEWART Live at Albert Hall. For the first time the legendary rock n' roller performs some of his best-known hits and new found "Great American Songbook" classics at the legendary Royal Albert Hall in London, England. The special gala concert features Rod accompanied by the 60-piece BBC Concert Orchestra, the London Community Gospel Choir, and his own band and back up singers. The concert also captures Rod with Chrissie Hynde, his former FACES mate, Ron Wood, and a stunning new musical discovery, Amy Belle. Runtime is approximately 90 minutes. Enjoy such songs as You Wear it Well, Some Guys have all the Luck/Addicted to Love, Reason to Believe, Hot Legs, You're in My Heart, They Can't Take that Away from Me, Blue Moon, What a Wonderful World, As Time Goes By and many more! Oh yes… and the great Maggie May! Doors open at 5 pm. Concert will start at 5:45 pm. Please bring a dish to share with 8 to 10, your own utensils, liquid refreshments and a neighbor or friend. Book Club All readers interested in great discussions, occasional guest speakers and movies, join us the third Monday of every month. Our book for July is The Courage of Others by Jim Hitt, one of our 4 Seasons writers. We are looking forward to having him as our guest speaker. We meet in the Lodge Ballroom on the fourth Monday of the month at 2 pm. The highlight is July 20 when it's off to Carlsbad to bask in the sun at the Carlsbad Inn. Margie Colton has planned a wonderful trip to the Mexican food restaurant at the Inn and a shuttle to and from the shop close by. This trip has been a favorite in the past. Women In Touch (WIT) As many of you know, there is a very special group of ladies here in the community who have bonded together to form the WIT Team. This group of ladies all share a common bond, the loss of the love of their life. This group of ladies meets the first Monday of every month in the Ballroom at 5 pm for dinner and lively conversation. We are your support group and this is your invitation to come join us and be a part of the WIT Team here at Four Seasons.
