Get ready for September! We have a little bit of everything for everyone in the event schedule this month. Here are some things not to miss: Friday, Sept 2.: "Back to Fitness Party" with Carmen and her company "For-The-Health-of-It." Join us in the Ballroom at 4 pm for a demo of classes, so you can see what's involved and try some of the classes out before you sign up for them. At 5 pm there will be a Zumba party. If you love to groove, you'll get into the music and forget you're burning calories. If you've never been to a Zumba party, join the fun! Monday, Sept. 12: HOA Garage Sale sign-ups. Make money on your treasures - be sure to sign up for garage sale held on Saturday, Oct. 8 from 8 am to 2 pm. Both Beaumont and Banning are invited in to buy your stuff. We only have two garage sales a year so you don't want to be stuck holding onto your sellable inventory until next April, do you? Put your items together now and make some fun spending money. The last day to sign up is Wednesday, Oct. 5 at the Lodge desk. Sunday, Sept. 18: Four Seasons Amphitheater Grand Finale that you absolutely don't want to miss! "The Beatles " are coming with full costumes and an amazing sound-alike performance. If you missed seeing the Beatles growing up, here's your chance to see them now live. The show starts at 7 pm but be sure to come early so you get a good seat. This will be a concert that goes down in Association history! Saturday, Sept. 24: Four Seasons Art Fair. This is an opportunity to see beautiful works of art from all types of media (painting, photography, drawing and sketching, quilting, ceramics and more). This is an "Art Show" not a Craft Fair, which will be coming later. There will be lovely live background music and refreshments. Tables will be set up around the periphery for you to bring your favorite beverage, sit amongst the beauty and listen to music. Friday, Sept. 30: Piano Night. It will be held in the Ballroom with dinner tables. Feel free to bring your dinner in from the Bistro along with your favorite beverage and then sing along with us at 7 pm we'll probably end up around the piano eventually, but we thought we'd try out this area and see how that works. Sally White may be bringing a friend to play along with her, we'll see what surprises the evening contains. Come on down and be family with us. No singing skills required… humming and lip synching are allowed for this event. Now for important business: I need people who are interested in sitting down with me and tell me their stories of how their families (moms, dads, sisters, etc) supported the war effort (WWII) from the home front. This Veterans Day we will be putting a special emphasis on honoring our WWII Veterans since we are losing so many of them each year. We want to include some real Four Seasons family stories to go along with that. If you know of any WWII Veterans in the neighborhood, please come and let me know who they are… they are important to us and we want to honor those humble heroes while we can. I would also love some WWII memorabilia if anyone would let us borrow it for the one day, on Veterans day, Nov. 11. Thank you for your help. Call me at the office. I can't wait to talk to you. 16 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | SEPTEMBER 2016 Activities Director Corner SEPTEMBER 3 Tennis US Open Party 17 Karaoke 18 Amphitheater Grand Finale 24 Art Fair 30 Piano Night OCTOBER 7 Radio Show 8 HOA Garage Sale 15 Craft Boutique 18 Tennis Banquet 22 Karaoke 28 Love & Marriage Show NOVEMBER 11 Veterans Day 12 Karaoke DECEMBER 2 & 3 Holiday Extravaganza 9 Ballroom Dance Christmas 10 AACC Christmas Dance 13 Holiday Magic Show 15 Wine Club Holiday Formal 23 Karaoke Kristmas 31 New Years Eve By Cindy Graves, Activities Director UPCOMING EVENTS
