We're dark in August but are looking ahead to September and the continuing preparation for the spring 2017 presentation of That's Entertainment. You are invited to attend the Sept. 6 meeting on the stage side of the Main Clubhouse Ballroom at 1 pm. Entitled Walk Down Memory Lane from World War II to Disco, the upcoming production promises to be great fun and should attract a wide variety of talent. You could be the perfect addition! Come see what we are all about. The club meets on the first Tuesday of every month (September through June) and the dues are certainly affordable at $10 a person or $15 for a couple! This is a funny and touching story of six southern women that was made into a hit movie in 1989 and was also a big hit at Sun Lakes years ago. The cast consists of Lynne Lewis, Ginger Burris, Rose Hermanson, Ruth Bray, Pat Naylor and Barbara Searcy. Rehearsals have begun and the production runs Oct. 27 – 30. Our next potluck and games night will be Sept. 28 at 6 pm at the South Clubhouse. Drama Club Sun Lakes Follies IT'S ALMOST HERE! Variety Is The Spice Of Life, the Sun Lakes Follies 2016 presentation, is in the final rehearsals stage. Our performers have put many, many hours into perfecting their numbers for your pleasure. Our comedy numbers are hilarious and the singers and dancers are terrific. The public sale of tickets is Sat., Sept. 17, 9 to 11 am in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom, checks only made out to Sun Lakes Follies. Show dates are Fri., Sept. 30 (evening), Sat., Oct. 1 (matinée) and Sun., Oct. 2 (matinée). GET YOUR TICKETS EARLY… $8 PP. THEY GO FAST!
