Cruzin' Cronies
Cruizin' Cronies is a Classic Car Club,
and you don't need a classic car to join.
Meetings are held on the first Saturday of
each month. We display our cars at 8 am
in the Main Clubhouse parking lot, have a
short meeting in the Multipurpose Room,
and then go to breakfast. There are no
dues, no extra fees, just friendship, stories,

Tom Jones (photo right) proudly owns
a brand new, white 2016 Corvette Stingray
Coupe Z51. He's been a Corvette lover since
he bought his first one in 2005, although
he's loved cars since he was five years old.
His very first vehicle was a Sherman tank,
which he drove in WWII when he was 17
years old. Of the 40 vehicles he's owned in
his life, 10 were sports cars, but this new,
stylish Corvette is his favorite by far. It was
Tom's present to himself when he turned
90 on his last birthday.
It has a high performance engine, Z51
performance package, dry sump racing
engine, 460 HP 465 torque, Z51 gear ratios,
performance suspension, slotted brake
rotors, electronic differential with limited
slip, painted aluminum wheels, rear
differential cooler, multi-mode exhaust,
and a performance rear spoiler, which
definitely improves its gas mileage.
When Tom and his wife moved to Sun
Lakes in 1994, he was a retired hospital
administrator, with a Datsun 280Z turbo.
Besides Cruizin' Cronies, Tom belongs to
the Hemet Corvette Club, and the Diamond
Valley Corvettes, which has about 40
members.
