Tennis Friends
It was June 2, the early morning dew kissed the courts, the
benches, and the fences. The temperature was 65 degrees. The Four
Horsemen battled as they tuned up their games for the Oldlympics
(Mason Arnold, Bill Spreen, Earle Irvine and Mike McConnell, photo
above). Labor day was no different in that there were 14 people
tuning up their games. Most were former medal winners.
So, by the time you read this article, we expect these and others of
our tennis friends to be decorated with medals from the Oldlympics
(we will take pictures at the banquet).
Despite the fact that Mason was so tuckered that he had to take a
rest on the court (photo above), his efforts will likely pay off.
In other news, there is talk of a Tennis Friends Annual BBQ in
November. So, talk it up.
As the weather gets better and fall residents arrive, we expect our
ranks will swell on all the typical play days. Mon., Tues., Wed. nights,
Thurs., Fri., and Sat. For details contact Chuck Sims, Tracy Trousset,
Judy Bailey, or anyone playing.
See you on court!
