20 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2016 Bistro Committee We are happy to announce that Cheri Howard and Bob Brandon are our newest members. Bob has volunteered to be our secretary. Two more candidates are waiting for board approval. Dennis Mandel of Cornerstone Restaurant Supply attended our meeting and reviewed his three proposals for the remodel of the kitchen in the Bistro. This project would enable the Bistro to increase productivity and eventually hire additional staff and open up register number two. We have also received one other proposal. Ann Blair, co-chair and I will be presenting these proposals to the October Finance Committee. Our most exciting news is that the Board of Directors has asked us to consider changing our name from Bistro Committee to the Lodge Committee. Our duties would be to interface and facilitate with the following groups/clubs that use the Lodge and Spa buildings. They include: Ad Hoc Technology, Ballroom, Billiards Room and clubs, Bistro, Card Room and clubs, Ceramics/Arts and Craft Room and clubs, gym facilities, Library, Movie Theater and the Salon. We are all very committed to this task and know that this is a new beginning for our committee. We will be forming sub-committees to assist in this endeavor. So if you would like to become part of an energetic, well-organized, busy, fun committee, come and join us at our next meeting which will be on Nov. 16 at 11 am in the old conference center adjoining the Bistro. ~ Jill Anderson National elections are just around the corner… if you would like to promote your candidate, please respect these guidelines. Political sign should not be larger than 18" x 24" or smaller and could be viewed from a window or placed in resident's planter area. Rules & Regulation Committee Charter was approved by Board. Election rules sub-committee chair, Tom Halley presented a draft for suggested wording to: 1. Eliminate cumulative voting 2. Eliminate district delegates 3. Create media guidelines for the Breeze and website. Wording for one through three was approved by the committee. Discussion on political canvassing led to committee vote of 4 to 2 against political canvassing. Proposed draft will now be sent to the Board. HOA General Magager Jeri Mupo presented a map of Four Seasons divided into approximately 18 sections. Each section would represent approximately 100 homes. We meet the second Tuesday of each month, at 9 am in the Conference Room and all residents are invited to attend the meeting. ~ Barbara Miller Rules & Regulations committee
