FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | NOVEMBER 2016 47 We're in the 2016 home stretch at "Believe…" Women's Bible Study. What a fabulous year we have had…. so far! In October we had several lessons on the subject of "A Godly Woman is Trusting." We discussed the definition of trust, how trust is related to faith, how we trust, what to do when trust is broken, our trust in each other, and our trust in God. I wish all of you Four Seasons ladies could have attended these discussions. The compassion and insight that these discussions produced have been such a blessing! Each of the members of this Bible study has seen much of life, and all have had many interesting and profound life experiences to share. If any of you lovely women out there are looking to join a Christian Women's Book Club, Cynthia Weck has organized this club as a break- off from "Believe…" It is a great success, and Cynthia generously opens her home to bi-monthly discussions of the selected Christian books. If you have been looking for such a group, please contact Cynthia Weck directly. You won't be disappointed! In November we will be discussing how, as Christian women, we are lights in this world: how to shine, how to share this light, how to find the light, and Who is our Light. This promises to be an amazing learning experience, and one in which, we will all may grow and strengthen in Christ. In 2017 we will leave our "A Godly Woman Is…" series behind, and instead have varied and different topics each month, geared especially for women to grow and thrive in Christ. This study is non-denominational, and any translation of the Bible is welcomed. Four Seasons ladies, I hope if you are reading this article you will seriously consider joining this amazing group of beautiful, strong women. We meet every Friday from 10:30 to 11:45 am in the Lodge Game Room (next to the Library). Blessings in Christ! ~ Doc Sellars Intercessory Prayer group Shalom intercessors and neighbors: I was searching the web for faith scriptures and was enlightened when I read Hebrews 11:1 the Amplified. Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen (the conviction of their reality — faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses). I read a topical study that said that faith is a "title deed." The topical study said that Paul is not really defining what faith is, but rather he is showing what faith does in an operative sense: Faith undergirds what we hope for. Substance means "that which stands under." Faith is the foundation for what we hope, the foundation for our relationship with God and everything that it implies within His purpose. Faith is the very beginning of everything that really matters spiritually. Prayer is the key, and Faith unlocks the door. You are invited to come and pray with us on Nov. 7 at 9 am in the Game Room. ~ Cookie Bonner The Jewish Social Club (Chavurah) welcomes all interested Four Seasons residents who want to connect to Judaism, its cultured and celebrations. In the next months, we have planned several outstanding events. The next Chavurah event will be in November with our fourth Dinner and a Movie Night at the Four Season's Main Lodge Theatre, from 6 - 8:30 pm. sponsored by Nancy Justice, with the showing of the award-winning movie shown at 6:45 pm, after a refreshment Nosh at 6 pm, sponsored by members. Members of the Chavurah also enjoy social, cultural and religious get-togethers, and connections to other organizations in and around the community. A sister organization is forming a trip to travel to Israel in 2017. This amazing and spiritual 14-day land and air excursion will be a trip of a lifetime, titled, 'Walking in the footsteps of Moses and Jesus.' A presentation will be at a private home in November.
