By now you probably have become a little burned out on all that political stuff on TV, radio, in newspapers and magazines, not to mention on the Internet. A great getaway from all that reality is possibly, sharing a song or two with our Sun Lakes Karaoke Club now known as "Karaoke With D.J. Blast & The Dynamite Duo Barb & Rosie." Many residents are starting to discover that this club is more than just karaoke. You can dance,sing,eat,drink or just watch all the fun that happens at these get-togethers. You might possibly make a new friend especially if music is your interest. Rest assured you will feel right at home at these events. Barb Miller and Rosie Ingalls are big fans of nice fashion and they always try to coordinate outifts with each other to look almost like bookend fashion plates against the ever dapper radio announcer D.J. Blast. This team is unique, friendly and handy with almost any song you may request to sing or dance to. D.J. Blast is proud of the hundreds of thousands of songs in his digital library that span the 1920s through many of today's hits as well as various genres from Big Band Swing, C&W, R&B, movie soundtracks to classic rock and much much more. At times some well known Sun Lakes residents such as Larry and Sheila James, Valeri Hubbard and The Radio Flyers, always entertain us with their amazing singing talents whenever they show up. This month we also have the honor of sharing our microphones with David Sherry who is well known for his Neil Diamond tribute shows that bring audiences to their feet with applause. We are beside ourselves with anticipation of this news. Barb Rosie & D.J. Blast want you to set your daytimer for these dates in November. Join us on Sat., Nov. 5 in the South Clubhouse and also the day after Thanksgiving, Fri., Nov.. 25 also at the South Clubhouse. All shows start at 5:30 pm until 9:15 pm. So mark your calendar, pick your songs and come out and join Barb Miller,Rosie Ingalls & D.J. Blast in November for Karaoke! P.S. We are not scheduled for any Karaoke events in December. 22 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | NOVEMBER 2016 | Chorale The Chorale of Sun Lakes is preparing a beautiful program for the community's Holiday Program in December. We're rehearsing new arrangements of familiar Christmas carols, several Hanukkah songs you may never have heard before, and traditional favorites of the season. We meet every Monday, from 9:30 am to 12:15 pm in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom, and have sectional practices on Thursdays. Our Holiday Concert Series is scheduled for Fri., Dec. 2 and Sat., Dec. 3 at 7 pm, and Sun., Dec. 4 at 3 pm. Tickets will be on sale in the Main Clubhouse lobby Monday through Friday beginning Mon., Nov. 14 from 9 am to 3 pm until tickets sell out.
