22 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | DECEMBER 2016 We had a budget of $12,000 to perform acoustics testing in our Ballroom, Lodge lobby/bistro area, and the multi-use room in the RCN. We accomplished these services for less than half the amount allowed. We now know how floors, walls and ceilings contribute to echo and the noise level in each of these spaces, and are formulating plans to make improvements. The Ballroom floor covering is scheduled to be replaced in January, 2017. There will be more hardwood surface than now, and there should be more options available for use of the room, whether as one single space, or in a one-third/two-thirds configuration, or used as three separate spaces. Research has started for the final and complete hand-over (transition) of all community assets from the developer to us, the Homeowners Association. There is much to discover and digest, and some hard questions to ask and answer. We are not yet prepared to report any conclusions or options in this matter, but we'll keep you informed as progress is made. Two-way communication with you, the homeowner, is a priority with us. Those who use the Internet will soon have a convenient means to accomplish this, with a special community website set up just for this purpose. If you don't use the Internet, we will still provide communication through printed material, questionnaires and input sheets. Our regular meetings are held in the Conference Room of the RCN at 9 am, usually the fourth Thursday of the month – but due to this time of the year, our next meeting is Thursday, Dec. 15. ~ Willis Fagan Community Planning & Transition Committee
