The committee was originally composed of law enforcement, fire agencies, hospital and ambulance providers, gas and electric utilities, city, county and state agencies, water agencies, school districts, RACES, Chambers of Commerce, Red Cross, Army National Guard and several specialized businesses whose main intent was the coordination of all agencies that would be responding to major emergencies or disasters in the Pass area. Over the years, PASSCOM has opened its membership to everyone in the Pass Area, including individual communities such as Four Seasons and your Emergency Preparedness Committee (EPC) is an active participant. Today, the goals and objectives of PASSCOM are: Continue to enhance the working relationships between emergency response organizations; stimulate awareness of the need for citizens, businesses and communities to prepare for emergencies or disasters that could occur in the San Gorgonio Pass area; ongoing assistance to local government in preparing for their role in emergency or disaster incidents; organize training and provide assistance to ensure that the public and business community know what to do before, during and after an emergency or disaster incident. PASSCOM meets the second Tuesday of each month at 8:30 am in the portable classroom at the N/E corner of the San Gorgonio Hospital. Your Four Seasons Emergency Preparedness Committee (EPC) meets the third Tuesday of each month at 10 am in the RCN Conference Room. ~ Mike Martin Reviewed and approved carpet and wood flooring for Ballroom and will be reviewing balance of Lodge carpet at next month's meeting.
