| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | December 2016 | 15 December's Tip: This is typically a month for travel. In addition, the holiday season tends to show a spike in crime. So please ensure that you notify the Gatehouse/Security when you will be away from home for any extended period so that the Roaming Patrol can keep a mindful eye on your property. Also, please ensure that your gate(s) and doors are locked at night or when you are away for the day. If you park a vehicle in your driveway, please take the time and effort to remove garage door openers and gate transponders at night, and don't have valuables in sight in your vehicle here or while shopping! And lastly, inspect your fire extinguisher(s) (you do have them, don't you!?!) for acceptable levels of charge. Don't let a cooking disaster turn into a holiday nightmare! We have had a very successful year developing our abilities and resources for responding to any major emergency or disaster. We have participated in this year's "Great Shakeout," the Car Show, and now our Street Captains are distributing the emergency information packet for each household. If you don't have one and want one, please leave your name and address on the list in the Multipurpose Room and we'll attempt to get one to you. Also, please consider becoming a Street Captain for your block or area. We are still very short in the area west of Four Seasons Blvd. along Stephenson Lane and the various cul-de- sacs, and now in the area north of Faldo and west of Four Seasons Blvd. We are our neighbor's neighbor, and as a "senior community," there is an additional need to be mindful and supportive of each other's welfare and safety. Everyone should have the Roving Patrol number set-up for speed-dial. On behalf of the Emergency Preparedness Committee and all of our Street Captains, we would like to wish you a happy and safe Holiday Season. We normally meet the fourth Monday evening at 6:30 in the Multipurpose Room and we usually have preparedness and safety activities and information available. We are dark in December, but scheduled to meet Jan. 23. See you next year! Emergency Preparedness Committee Photo by Woody Lane Landscape Committee Artistic Landscape Maintenance has been with Four Seasons for a whole year now (where did the time go?) We are very impressed with their quality of work they have proven to be an asset to our community. We have received many compliments from both residents and visitors alike. The planting around the golfer statue at the intersection of World Cup and Four Seasons Blvd. looks great and will in time mask the close-by water pipes and cage belonging to the golf course. You may notice that several of the newly planted trees on Four Seasons Blvd. have gone into shock and look dead at this time but they should come back in the spring, if not all of the trees and plants are guaranteed for a year and they will be replaced. All Landscape Committee members wish you a Joyous Holiday Season. Scotty, John, Dennis, Charlie, Fran, Carolyn and Brenda.
