This is a spectacular show that will have you begging for more. This musical tribute will include: Roy Orbison, The Everly Brothers, Ricky Nelson and Patsy Cline. This is a spectacular line up that will have you remembering the good old days when these artists were in their prime. This will be an exciting concert that you won't want to miss out on so make sure you get your tickets quickly because it sells out. Tickets go on sale Dec. 1. Remember it is theater seating and it will be first come first served. Blood Drive: Tues., Feb. 21, 9am – 2pm, Main Clubhouse Multipurpose Room. Sun Lakes is hosting a blood drive to support Lifestream, which is a blood bank for the San Bernardino and Riverside Counties. The donated blood goes to local hospitals in our area such as Beaver Medical, San Gorgonio, and Loma Linda. Please help us on this day by donating blood. Our goal is to have 40 people donate! If you are interested please call the reception desk and sign up for a time slot. We have time slots every 15 minutes from 9 am – 2 pm. The donation center will be set up inside the Multipurpose Room at the Main Clubhouse. Hope to see you there! "The Illusion of Elvis Show": Sat., March 4, 7 pm – 8:30 pm, Doors open at 6 pm, $10 pp. Join us in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom for a fabulous "Rockabilly to Rhinestones" show featuring Elvis and Ann- Margret impersonators. Danny Vernon's Illusion of Elvis show is very popular in Canada and all down the west coast, as he travels to do shows in Washington, Oregon, California, and Arizona! For our event, he will bring his wife, Marcia, for a special Ann-Margret and Elvis duo. With the voice, look, and passion of the twentieth century icon, Danny Vernon strives to re-capture Elvis Presley's appeal to an ever- growing audience. This show will be theater seating and the cost is $10 pp. Activities Day: Sat., Jan. 14 in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom from 9 am to 12 pm. The Recreation Department is proud to continue its yearly tradition of Activities Day! Each year all of the active clubs, groups and recreation get together to show you what Sun Lakes has to offer. Want to join a new club, want to know exactly what the Young at Heart Club is all about? Want to learn how to play 8-ball or bocce? How about trying your hand at acting… well this is the event for you! Mark your calendars and bring your neighbors and friends! Masters of Harmony: Sun., Jan. 15, In the Main Ballroom. Doors open at 1 pm, show at 2 pm, $10 pp. Hearing the power and beauty of 100 male voices joined in harmony is a treat. When the Masters of Harmony sing, no one is left untouched. From the opening curtain, the more than eight time international champion chorus radiates a joy and enthusiasm that lifts the audience. Come down and join us for an amazing afternoon of some very talented singers. This is a show you won't want to miss! riverside Concert Band in the Ballroom: Sun., Jan. 29. Doors open at 1 pm, show starts at 2 pm in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom, FREE. Come out and join us for a spectacular concert put on by the 40 member Riverside Concert Band. This band has been around since 1876 and has served Riverside county presenting live music for numerous civic, public and private events. The band is comprised of community members who play woodwind, brass and percussion instruments, and performs in the "traditional" concert band style. Over the past few years, the band has diversified and now presents a swing ensemble in addition to the traditional concert band. This includes big band and Dixieland music, light classics and the ever popular marches. This is a show that you don't want to miss out on. So grab some friends and head on in to the Ballroom for this spectacular evening filled with some great music.
