42 FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | JANUARY 2017 Ballroom & Social Dance NOTICE: Due to construction work in the Ballroom, starting Jan. 9, our Monday night dance instructions will be in the RCN building and our annual Valentines Dinner Dance must be canceled. We anticipate the Ballroom will not be available through January and February, but we'll keep you posted. As usual, introduction to dance is at 6 pm, beginner dance at 6:30 pm, and more advanced dance from 7 to 8 pm. We'll start the year with the Foxtrot, a very enjoyable and smooth dance everyone should know. Several outings are planned in the near future – to Hemet West, Sierra Dawn, the Palm Springs Pavilion and other places. We have great fun dancing at different venues and seeing how other people dance. The future of our dance group looks good, with strong support and interest from our community. We invite you to enjoy dancing with us, and take advantage of the excellent lessons we receive every Monday night from our professional dance instructors Cindy and Rhonda. We wish you a very good year, and hope to see you soon. Info., Puring and Gary Stifter at (951) 922-8333, or at purings@ verizon.net. ~ Willis Fagan Happy New Year! We hope you enjoyed your holidays and are ready for 2017. Before I get to what's going on in the new year, let me finish off 2016. First I want to thank the two audiences that came to our holiday shows. You were fantastic! You clapped, smiled, laughed, and we even saw a tear or two. We're so happy you enjoyed yourselves and thank you for letting us know just how much you did. Your feedback means so much to us. We all work very hard to put a show together for you. Keeping that in mind, I would like to thank Barbara Wasco, Bertsy Seim, Anne Savy, and the choir, all of the performers in the Religious and Cultural program, John and Paula, all of their performers in The Grinch story, and I must not forget the men and one woman of the sound, lighting, stage, and backstage crew, and of course, my helpful elves who helped create 600 goodie bags for you. You were all phenomenal. One of our BIG shows will be this May. It's a definite favorite among most Four Seasons' residents… our bi-annual PG-55 show which will be produced by John Horning again. In 2015, John called the PG-55 show "Twisted Cabaret" and so it will be again this year. PG-55 means that some of the acts in the show may be more 'Adult Oriented' and not suitable for those under 18. We are looking at performers for this show. If you are a singer, have a variety act, or want to put together a skit or a dance number, please call John Horning at (323) 253-3854. Acts are not required to be risque' in nature. Our last show was a blockbuster and we are hoping to make this one better. If you love to sing to the radio, this might be for you. You don't need to have the voice of a soloist. In choir, we blend our voices. Some of us, have absolutely beautiful voices. The rest of us blend our voices. If interested, contact me. My info. is at the end of this article. Do you want to hear about more upcoming shows in '17? You'll have to wait for future Breeze issues to read about them. They're coming and you'll be pleased. If you have any questions regarding the Performing Arts Club, please don't hesitate to contact me at terimk@verizon.net or (951) 992-9156 (home) or (602) 309-0919 (cell). ~ Teri Meyers-Kelman Performing Arts Club
