We meet in the Craft Room at 1 pm and you only need to bring scissors and glue! You will make three beautiful cards; the cost is $6 to cover materials. The class is for all levels: beginner, intermediate and advanced. We are learning new techniques each month and having lots of fun meeting new friends. The show provided unique pieces to purchase and demonstrations for new paint products and techniques. Overall it was a day of fun and shared adventures. Our first project for 2017 is a chalking technique on an acrylic piece, led by our classmate, Marion Loney. The cost for this project will be $15, and the planned date is Saturday, Feb. 25, from 10 am to 2 pm. If you would like more information regarding the project or want to sign up please drop by during one of our scheduled classes. Please note that you must pay at the time of sign-up; the cost includes the piece and all supplies to complete project. Space is limited — first come, first served. If you are looking for a new hobby, want to create your own design, or participate in a class project to create pieces for yourself, friends and family, come to the ceramics class. We meet Wednesdays from 1 to 4 pm and alternate Saturdays from 9 am to 1 pm (see class schedule for dates). Come and join in the fun in the Lodge Craft Room. A monthly schedule of dates and upcoming class projects is in the classroom for your reference. A certified instructor and/or an experienced class team lead is available to support your crafting needs; participation is at your own pace and frequency. We are still talking about various organizations that may be interested in our work. We are all taking a break from last year's USMC project, and trying to complete some personal items for ourselves and families. Once again, if you are interested in our group, or want to learn a new hobby, please join us every Tuesday from 10 to 11:30 am in the Craft Room. ~ Dorothy Payne In February, we will begin making St. Patrick's Day, Easter and Thank You cards.
