Ping Pong
You might be wondering what this picture has to do with ping
pong. There are no ping pong tables, no ping pong paddles, and
no ping pong balls here. Some time ago we realized that if "things
go better with Coke" they would go even better with money. So, we
set out to raise some money and help the environment by recycling
plastic bottles, aluminum cans, and glass. Our members save these
things up and on the first Wednesday of every month we collect them
and take them to the recycle center. In this picture we have two of
our most excellent players, Lian Lee and Jeannine Baker, braving the
rain to cash in our cans and bottles. Also helping us is Jack Lee. At
last report from our treasurer, Jeannine Baker, we have raised close
to $500. You can buy a lot of ping pong balls with that. We have
already enjoyed an almost cost free potluck social and bought some
equipment for our ping pong room.
You don't have to be a ping pong player to help us raise money
for our club and help the environment at the same time. We would
love to have your plastic, aluminum, and glass. Just drop them off at
the ping pong room on the first Wednesday of every month during
playing hours. Even more, we would love to have you join us for some
ping pong fun. Please join us in the Aerobics room Monday through
Friday at 10:30 am and Saturday at 11 am. Contact Niles Sundstrom
at (951) 572-5119 or Alan Chan at (310) 251-9269 if you have any
questions or need more information about your Four Seasons Ping
Pong Group. ~ Niles Sundstrom
