The Sun Lakes Country Club Homeowners Association Annual
Meeting of the Membership and Election of Directors will be held on
Wed., April 12, in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. There will be two
open positions on the Board. Each newly elected director will serve
a two-year term.
Any homeowner interested in running for a position on the
Board should fill out a Board Candidacy Form, available in the
Administration Office beginning Mon., Feb. 6. Candidacy forms
must be returned no later than 5 pm on Mon., Feb. 27. The Inspector
of Election will review each candidacy form it receives and place all
eligible candidates on the ballot.
Two "Meet the Candidates" forums will be conducted. The first
forum will be held on Mon., March 13 at 6 pm and the second
forum will be held on Tues., March 14 at 10 am. Both forums will be
conducted in the Main Clubhouse Ballroom. The Member of Record
date is Mon., Feb. 20. Ballots will be mailed out on Mon., March 13.

Hooray! Sun Lakes Country Club was able to reach the 80 percent
compliance for the 2016 age verification as a 55+ Adult Community.
We were able to reach the 80 percent compliance in December, and
we would like to thank all of the homeowners, board members, and
delegates who assisted in this process. As a 55+ Adult Community,
we have to comply with this regulation every two years. We will take
a careful look at the process of gathering these forms for the 2018
requirement to streamline it better. Again, we appreciate all of the
help from the community!
