In December, instead of exchanging white elephant gifts and ornaments,
Susan Austin's SDV Bunco Bunnies decided to fill used women's purses
with personal items (i.e.: toothpaste, toothbrushes, socks, sanitizing gel,
hand lotion and other items) to give to homeless women facing challenging
times.
To receive the purses, they selected the Valley Restart at 200 E. Menlo,
Hemet (www.valleyrestart.org), which provides shelter and is a resource
center for the homeless. There were 16 purses delivered to the center.
Thank you to all the Bunco Bunnies (Barbara Shoop, Candice Gartner,
Denise Norton, Diana Conttrell, Jana Main, Kathy Bird, Marcia Marsh, Mary
Leivetz, Michelle Siegel, Nanette Douglas, Sally Bahler, Sharon Desposito,
Sue Dowis, Susan Briggs, and Tami Goltry) for their generous donations.
