I encourage all to join and enjoy Tuesday's play, as well as all social functions. From the Rules Chair – Tom Johnson: When your ball lands on a cart path, you have relief without penalty. First you need to take the club you would use to hit the next shot and take a stance on both sides of the cart path where both the ball and your stance are off the cart path and the ball is no closer the hole. Use a tee to mark where the ball would be. You then would pick the side of the cart path where your ball is closest to where it was on the cart path. That point is the nearest point of relief. You then may use any club to measure up to a club length from the nearest point of relief away from the hole and place another tee. You can then drop the ball from shoulder height. If the ball lands near the pin no closer to the hole, not on the cart path, in a hazard or on the green, the ball is in play. If not, drop the ball a second time. If it still does not meet the conditions the ball can be placed. If you cannot find a place within a club length of the nearest point of relief, your best bet may be to play the ball from the cart path. For local rules please refer to the back of our Four Seasons Golf Club scorecards.
