| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | March 2017 | 35 Tennis Friends Nothing happens without a vision. What is your vision for tennis at Four Seasons? You can make it happen by envisioning it and then going out and doing it. For example, improve your backhand, run our tennis tournament, tune up for Oldlympics, come out for casual tennis, find a local league, plan our annual barbecue, or exercise for fun in the sun. Tennis tip of the month: If you want to make the top spin on a ball more effective you need to strike it when it is closer to you. Think: over your left ear for serves or close to your right knee for ground strokes (opposite for lefties) while hitting upwards. See the Hemet Herald calendar for times to play here. Ask Trish Egan, Chuck Sims, or Tracy Trousset for other opportunities in the Hemet area. We are expecting balmy spring weather from now on. We told you Tennis Friends have fun. See you on court. Please join us as we encourage our team members to adopt a healthier routine. The program presentations are interesting and full of healthy tips for cooking and eating. We share our individual victories in weight loss and also some of the struggles in trying to "stay on track." All in all, we are succeeding in becoming more aware that the trek is not an easy one, but well worth it. We encourage you to stop by and check out our program. We are a support group. We strive for positive lifestyle changes, a great way to start the year if you haven't already done so. If you have any questions about our program, please call Dave and Karen Tuvim, 599-4236. HEALTHY LIVING "Walk-Fit" Exercise Club As we enter March with spring approaching, it is a great time to start an exercise program that will have you ready for warm weather activities. We tend to be less active in the cooler months and need to rebuild our strength, stamina and flexibility. The seven Leslie Sansone DVDs used in the "Walk Fit" Exercise class are designed to do that and more. The routines are easy to follow and no memorizing is required. The "Walk Fit" Exercise Club offers you 180 minutes a week of low impact aerobic activity. You can tailor the class to your own needs and schedule. The full one hour class (three times a week) is a four mile walk, but you can join us for as much as will work for you. You can leave early or arrive later to shorten your walk. If you can only be there one or two days a week, that's okay too. New Members are always welcome — both men and women are welcome. We meet Mon., Wed. and Fri. from 7:45 to 8:45 am in the Lodge Ballroom (for the full hour). We are free. For more information contact Karen Tuvim (951) 599- 4236 or Kay Masonbrink (951) 223-3047.
