| Four Seasons Hemet Herald | March 2017 | 5 A Message From Your General Manager By Rick Ruth, CMCA THE ANNUAL MEETING IS APPROACHING The Annual Membership Meeting will be held next month on Wed., April 26. This year, there are three positions up for reelection for two year terms. In addition to the three positions, a fourth position that was vacated in 2016 will also be filled. This will be explained in future communications. In mid-February, a "Notice of Election and Request for Candidates" form was mailed out to all Owners of Record, both electronically and via first class mail. The "Notice of Election" contains election information and qualifications for running for the Board. Also attached is a "Request for Candidates" form for volunteers interested in running for the Board. All owners in good standing are eligible to vote. If we receive more than four Candidate Forms, a "Meet the Candidates" night will be scheduled and communicated to the owners. Beginning around March 17-23, the Annual Meeting Notice and "Ballots" will be sent to all owners via first class mail. It is very important that you exercise your rights as an owner and vote! If you have any questions, please stop by the Lodge. My assistant Mari Salazar or I will be happy to answer your questions. I cannot stress how important and costly the election process is to the homeowners association, so please vote. Also, be sure and sign the top left corner of the green envelope. LAWN CLIPPINGS IN THE GUTTERS I've been asked by our sweeping company to remind residents and their lawn maintenance vendors to not let clippings remain in the streets and gutters. The clippings are not always easy to pick up and they trap dirt and other debris, which in turn makes a bigger mess. The sweeping truck is not a power-washing vehicle, it vacuums and sweeps the debris into the tank on the truck. This will go a long way in keeping our streets looking clean. RESPONSIBLE PET OWNERSHIP Yes, I'm going to bring this up again because some aren't responsible. We constantly hear from residents that they observe their fellow residents not picking up after their dogs. The evidence is all over the common areas. A few weeks ago, I intervened on behalf of a resident in the Legends that was constantly battling dog poop in the greenbelt due to an irresponsible pet owner who was letting their dog run loose in the common area. I met with the owner and the owner immediately complied with my request to discontinue the practice. I also was contacted by another Legends resident who was observing urine stains at his front doorstep. Really? His doorway is 30 feet from the sidewalk! Folks, if you walk your dog so it doesn't "go" in front of your home, why are you letting them "go" in or on your neighbor's property and then not pick up the droppings? Please take a doggie poop bag with you, pick up after your dog, and take it home. If you are approached by a fellow resident and asked to pick up your dog's droppings, don't get mad at them because you got caught. Please follow the rules. That's why people move to places that have rules and why you most likely moved here as well. Lastly, we recently recarpeted the Bistro and in doing so, the tables were moved to the Ballroom. I wanted to let residents know--we found all of your missing gum! It was stuck to the underside of the tables. You are welcome to stop by and pick it up. All kidding aside — please use a napkin. Thank you to all who follow the rules! We hope you enjoy St. Patrick's Day!
