38 | SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | MARCH 2017 | Dinner Dance Club A big welcome to the new members who signed up during Activities Day. We have a great club, and we're sure you will have a great time dining, dancing and meeting new friends. March promises to be another great month with music by a club favorite: Touch of Class! Our dance is Sat., March 18. Doors open at 5:30 pm so you may have time to meet and mingle, and dress for the evening. It is our last "dressy" event before we transition into our more "dressy casual" summer dances. Starting the evening we will have a wonderful Caesar salad with both ranch and Caesar dressings. Entrée choices are as follows: 1) Shrimp scampi over wild rice with mushrooms and green onions: $23.50; 2) Tri-tip topped with caramelized onions: $23.25. Both are served with new red potatoes and haricot vertex with bacon bits and onion 3) Vegetarian option is lasagna: $22. Dessert sounds great: delicious bread pudding with whiskey sauce in a gelato glass. Sign-ups are from March 1 through 10 by leaving your check and sign-up form in the box located on the front gate at 782 Torrey Pines Rd. Sign up with a group if you like and request your favorite table location. We'll do our best to accommodate your request, but you will be given the next best location if your choice is not available. Remember to check out our website to see the table locations and print out your sign-up form. Remember to call Carla at 797-3506 before 3 pm on the day of the dance if you have signed up and are unable to attend. She can arrange for you to pick up your meal to enjoy at home. International Dancers This is a special shout-out to those ladies who may be new to Sun Lakes and looking for some fun activities: check out the list below to see if one or more of our eight dance disciplines interests you. If so, call the coordinator(s) for details and to schedule a visit to the class(es). The full membership meets once a month to take care of business, socialize and celebrate birthdays. If you decide to join, we all look forward to welcoming you there.
