Last month the club met on the 6th because our usual meeting date, the fi rst Wednesday of the month, landed on the 4th of July holiday.
At the meeting a standing club rule was clarifi ed: A member needs to practice with the team at least one day the week prior to a tournament to qualify for the tournament. This rule in the past had been applied to only tournaments with other communities. At this meeting it was decided by majority vote that it would apply to our monthly in-house 8-Ball and 9-Ball tournaments as well; and any other tournaments that may be held in the future.
Last month, the in-house 8-Ball Tournament was won by Dewey Allen; the in-house 9-Ball tournament was won by Ray Windhorn. Congratulations to both of our winners!
Club meetings are held the fi rst Wednesday, in-house 8 Ball Tournaments are the second Wednesday and the 9 Ball in-house tournaments on the third Saturday of each month. Most traveling tournaments are scheduled for Monday evenings; check the bulletin in the billiard room for exact date and location.
The team practices are non-tournament Mondays plus every Wednesday and Friday at 7 pm.
