SPORTS & ACTIVITIES Firearm Enthusiasts Gun ownership is a very responsible process of training, safety and familiarity with your fi rearms. More and more of our members are learning the importance of practice, practice, practice. Many of you have taken advantage of the nearby range. As a rule of thumb you should practice at least once a month to maintain your skill level and familiarity with your fi rearms. Monday Night Football Potluck Please mark your calendar for Monday Night Football Potlucks from Sept. 10 to Dec. 10, 5 pm at the Bistro in the Lodge. Bring a salad, vegetable, entree or dessert. It is a lot of fun and you will have an opportunity to socialize with other residents from Four Seasons. If you have questions, call Kristin Wouters at (951) 845-2063 or cell phone (818) 523-3547. ~ Kristin Wouters Motorcycle Club Bob Rose organized a four day trip in July up to San Luis Obispo. Bob along with Reuel Olson, Bob Howard, Steve Sarchett and Howard Lyon rode their bikes and their wives drove up in a car. The guys then took day rides through some wonderful country guided and narrated by Bob Rose, who had been raised in the area, while the gals took local day trips to Morro Bay and other local. In the evening we all got together for fun social times. The guys got to experience some extraordinarily beautiful roads and sights including Parkfi eld (the earthquake capital of the world), Fort Hunter Liggett, three of the California Missions, and we rode the famous Nacimiento-Ferguson Road from Fort Hunter Liggett over to Big Sur and then took beautiful Hwy. 1 back south to San Luis Obispo. A great trip! Our club meets the fi rst Wednesday of each month at 6 pm in the Ballroom. We try to take weekly local rides and we occasionally go on multi-day trips like the one above. Come join us. ~ Howard Lyon We are going to try again to schedule our local law enforcement to come to a meeting for training. Information will be available when the arrangements are made. A rifl e competition is in the planning stages and you should start practicing so you can take part and win a trophy. If you need a shooting partner, check on the roster and make a call. This is a good way to meet your fellow enthusiasts and swap stories. Meetings are the fi rst Friday of the month at 4 pm in Lodge Ballroom.
