COMMUNITY NEWS Emergency Preparedness Program (EPP) Our next meeting on Thurs., Sept. 27, at 10 am in the Lodge Ballroom, will feature Dennis Gray, resident, who has extensive knowledge with Emergency Preparedness, as our featured speaker. BE "EPP" PREPARED is the motto for Four Seasons Emergency Preparedness Program. Be prepared is the motto that has successfully guided many people. To that end, we encourage all to become CERT (Citizen Emergency Response Team) Trained (see information below), come to our monthly meetings the fourth Thursday of the month at 10 am in the Lodge Ballroom, and participate and become a part of one of the action teams. At the meetings we have speakers who provide information for materials needed to protect them in the event of a disaster. Residents who are newly CERT trained are Mike Olsen, Loren DuChesne, Juan Diaz, and Fred Plenge. The July meeting was quite informative. Jim Peterson gave a presentation on the Four Seasons Action Plan. The Team Leaders gave updates on their groups. Pet Rescue, Bernadette Chance; First Aid, Warren Hurd; Communication, Peter Hersey; Water, Laverne Prophet; and RV Cool Centers, Fred Porter. All are looking for additional people to participate. The next Beaumont CERT Training dates are Oct. 4, 6, and 13. You can sign up online at the City of Beaumont Website Emergency Service (OES) or call the city at (951) 572-3227. I also have forms. Come and help us be EPP prepared on Thurs., Sept. 27. ~ Anita Worthen Neighborhood Watch Our next meeting is Sept. 14, when resident Dennis Gray will lead a discussion on "Security Issues and Tips."
