| SUN LAKES LIFESTYLES | MAY 2017 | 5 Add New Golf Rule re: Good Sportsmanship and Disciplinary Procedure PROPOSED RULE CHANGE NOTIFICATION 17-04 The Board reviewed the following proposed amendment, to the Sun Lakes Country Club Homeowners Association Rules and Regulations (revised July 1, 2016 edition), that appear on the Association's website (www.sunlakescc.com) and are available in the administration office (please reference Article VIII – Golf Course Rules and Regulations for Both the Championship and Executive Courses and Facilities), at its March 22, 2017 Open Session Meeting. The Board will vote upon the proposed amendment at its June 28, 2017 Open Session Meeting, following publication in the May 2017 edition of Lifestyles. If the Board votes in favor of the proposed rule change it would go into effect July 1, 2017. If adopted, notice informing the members of the approval will be posted in the main, north and south clubhouses, in agreement with Civil Code § 4045. PURPOSE: The purpose of the proposed rule change is to create a rule that addresses unsportsmanlike conduct on the golf courses. Secondly, to define the potential penalty for this type of infraction. The current Golf Rules do not cover this adequately and therefore limits enforcement. EFFECT: The Association would have better control over enforcement of inappropriate behavior on the golf courses.
