FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | MAY 2017 47 We are all really enjoying learning and studying the last book of the Bible: Revelation. Although this book can be complex, symbolic and sometimes confusing, through discussion and patient contributions from all of the members of this amazing group of women, most of our questions have been answered, and we are all learning. For instance, we learned that the purpose of the book of Revelation is three-fold: to correct us, to prepare us and to encourage us concerning end times. We are also claiming the blessings promised in Revelation 1:3. It is the only book in the 66 books of the Bible that promises blessings for reading and studying it. We are looking forward to our bi-yearly potluck luncheon on June 2, the edible contributions to which are always exquisite. We have a nice time getting to know one another better in a more relaxed and festive atmosphere, and sharing the amazing fare together. The theme of this year's luncheon is flowers, and yep, we'll have a lot of them! After we finish studying Revelation, we will begin a fun series on: "Live Like a Superhero!" It will be an exciting, funny, uplifting and memorable series of lessons on women's issues and women's interests. If you have always wanted to join an amazing group of loving women to study the Bible, please come to the Lodge Card Room any Friday morning at 10:30 am and join in the discussions and fellowship. This is a non-denominational study, any version of the Bible is acceptable, and we have such a great time! Hope to see you soon! ~ Eileen Gilbert-Antoine "Believeā¦" Women's Bible Study Life Guide Bible Study Doc Sellars will continue facilitating the study series on God's glorious kingdom throughout the month of May. In the next months, we have planned several outstanding events. We were dark in April for Passover. In our area we have three sister congregations, Congregation Emanu El in Redlands, Etz Hazar in Redlands, and Temple Beth Am in San Jacinto. The next Chavurah event will be in May (check Lodge desk for date) with our fourth Dinner and a Movie Night at the Lodge Theatre, from 6 to 8:30 pm. Sponsored by Nancy Justice, the showing of an award-winning movie will be shown (6:45 pm) after a refreshment Nosh (6 pm) sponsored by members. Look for the flyer with more details, available in the Lodge. Members of the Chavurah also enjoy social, cultural and religious get-togethers, and connections to other organizations in and around the community. A sister organization is forming a trip to travel to Israel in 2017. This amazing and spiritual 14-day land and air excursion will be a trip of a lifetime, titled, 'Walking in the footsteps of Moses and Jesus.' A presentation will be at a private home in May. Look for the flyer in the Main Lodge for more details, date and time. For more information about these events, and to be put on our email list, please contact us at chavurah.time@aol.com, or talk to a real social committee person, Nancy Justice (951) 769-5804, or Dr. Zee & Ernie Knapp, (714) 423-4755. ~ Dr. Zee 'Rachel' & Ernie Knapp, Coordinators. Chavurah Jewish Social Club Intercessory Prayer group Greetings from the intercessory prayer group! We invite you to come and join us in the Lodge Game Room on Monday, May 1, at 9 am. How many of you remember the song "You'll Never Walk Alone" from the 1945 Rodgers and Hammerstein musical Carousel. Nettle Fowler sings this song to comfort and encourage Julie when her husband, Billy Bigelow, the male lead, commits suicide. When go through a storm it's good to know that people are praying for us, and with us. Come and be a part of our group, men are welcome. You can reach me at eaglewatchwb@aol.com. ~ Cookie Bonner
