The expression goes, "April showers, bring May flowers." Well, we didn't get much rain in April, but I'm going to shower everyone who attended last month's Radio Show with thanks. You were such a great audience. You were engaged in the story of The Lone Ranger finding and foiling the bank robbers in Bartonville. Then you laughed at the right places when Dagwood was learning how to use his new refrigerator and how Blondie once again worked her magic when a police officer forgave Dagwood's three tickets! We hope you enjoyed our new and updated sound effects and both Radio Shows as much as we enjoyed you. Our next Radio Shows will be on Saturday, Sept. 23. I'll keep you posted. Friday, May 19 and Saturday, May 20, at 6 pm: Twisted Cabaret Show! This show is not to be missed. We put this show on every other year, and it's always a hit and a full house. That's why we added an additional night. It's a variety show comprised of humorous and "fall off your chair laughing" acts. It is strictly for adults, over the age of 18, only! The subject matter for some of the acts can be R-rated, meaning they may include provocative language, scenes, or a combination of both. If you don't like this type of humor, I recommend you take a pass on seeing this show. A sneak peek of two of the performers… The Real Men and The Real Women of Four Seasons, will be back with their hilarious, off-the-wall, antics. Knowing this should assure you of having a great time. This performance will have theater seating, so please don't bring food into the Ballroom. Exciting news! Four Seasons has a new "FREE" class, Singing Lessons! Susan Youel, a trained singer and educator, is offering singing lessons on Wednesdays, at 2 pm in the Ballroom. I encourage you to take these classes. Even if you have no aspirations to become a singer, singing and breathing properly is so good for your health! Our Way Off Broadway show is having auditions for adult residents, only, on Wednesday, June 14, at 2 pm, in the Lodge Ballroom. Bring your music with you. If you're having difficulty finding your music, finding music in your key, or are unable to make the June 14 audition, please contact Susan Youel at (951) 769-1563 or syouel@earthlink.net. Susan will do whatever she can to help you. This is definitely going to be a blockbuster show! This season's opening band is "Yachty By Nature" and is comprised of five talented musicians who call the Southern California beaches home. They pay tribute to such musical stars such as Michael McDonald, Christopher Cross, Steely Dan, The Eagles, Neil Diamond, Hall and Oates and many more. The music begins at 7 pm in the evening at the Amphitheater, located adjacent to the tennis courts. Don't forget to bring a jacket/sweater as our evenings can be quite cool and you are may bring a beverage of your choice which must be in a non-glass container. The day of the concert, you are welcome to place your chairs — but only AFTER the sound crew has the sound system in place. This is a big job and will be finished about 11 am. So come on down to "The Marina," relax with friends, have a beverage of your choice on hand, and you might even hear the sound of waves as you relax "at the beach." ~ Doris SanFilippo
