Billiards for Fun
Through this article we send kudos to the amazing people in the
Billiards for Fun Group — you know who you are. You are all fun, kind,
and consistently attend. Thank you!
In April we had our bi-monthly potluck, hosted by Carlos and Cathy
Rivera, which, as usual, was well-attended with lots of good eats. It's
always delightful to get together as a group outside the Billiards Room,
and since wives/guests are invited, it's always fun to just visit in a relaxed
atmosphere. Carlos and Cathy did an amazing job decorating, which
made the event even more enjoyable.
We have several new members: Bob and Pat Semler and Barbara
and Richard Dipoma. We're so happy to have these two couples join our
group, and they are sure welcome additions. Our long-time friend, Gene
Dwyer, is an amazing shooter! (See adjacent photos.)
Our next in-house tournament is May 16, and many of the players are
getting so proficient at this quite difficult game, it will be a test of skill,
fortitude and genuine competitiveness to determine our winners. It's
always so much fun to watch the tournaments, the skill exhibition, and
the good-natured fun involved. (Okay, so there's a little bit of tension too,
but it's to be expected in a tournament, right?)
If you are interested in joining a really fun group of Four Seasons
residents who have become (and are becoming) quite proficient at the
game of billiards, please come by the Billiards Room any Tuesday between
10:30 am and 3 pm to check out the amazing people in the group. We have
two sessions of play: 11 am to 1 pm or 1 to 3 pm. Choose one, and c'mon
