There was fun all around this month as Ray Windhorn
raced undefeated into the final match of the in-house
8-ball tournament. Ray defeated Larry Rice during round
four to send Larry into the loser's bracket. Larry popped
back up after defeating Brian Anderson and Roland Harrah
to meet Ray in the final match. Larry had to defeat Ray
twice, which he did, but Ray played very well in his attempt.
Congratulations to Larry.
We had a large field of 16 players for our 9 ball in house
tournament, which made for an exciting evening, barely
finished by closing time. Del Lyles, our Captain, suffered
a loss in the second round but returned to the finals after
five consecutive wins. Rick Loney prevailed in the finals
after remaining undefeated for six rounds of play and
clinched the match with a 5-9 combination shot defeating
Del. Congratulations to Rick Loney, our 9 Ball monthly
champion.
