Due to some of the excursion refund policies, and to keep cancellations down to a minimum, we ask those who wish to sign up for an excursion to please check your calendar for prior engagements prior to signing up for excursions. REFUND POLICY: 1. Cancellations made 30 days prior to the departure date of an excursion or special event will qualify for a full refund, unless otherwise specified. 2. Cancellations made after the 30 day refund deadline are not refundable. However, if an excursion or event has sold out and there is a wait list, the Recreation Department may issue a refund if the ticket can be resold from the wait list. For theater excursions, please let staff know at the time of sign up if you would like to sit next to a specific person. Thank you! EXCURSIONS EXCURSION SIGN UPS: THURS., JUNE 1, 8 AM "Art in the Village" in Carlsbad Sun., Aug. 13, 8 am - 4:30 pm, $30 pp. The Carlsbad Village Association's 19th Annual Art in the Village will take place on August 13th, 2017. Last year's event brought over 125 local and regional artists for a one- day, open air event. Celebrating the dynamic art culture in Carlsbad Village and the surrounding area, the event attracts thousands of residents and a diverse selection of fine artists in mediums such as oil painting, watercolors, photography, mixed media, new media, classical and contemporary sculptures, as well as artisans who work in the mediums of jewelry making, woodworking, furniture, pottery, and hand- painted clothing and accessories. Attendees may browse exhibits and listen to live music along State Street and Grand Avenue right in the heart of the Village, just blocks from Carlsbad State Beach. This is a walking excursion, at your leisure. Lunch on own on site!
