6 SOLERA DIAMOND VALLEY | JULY 2017 SOLERA DIAMOND VALLEY | JULY 2017 7
I am so thankful to all of you who turned out for our last Leisure
Sunday. This was a special day filled with some of the most
beautiful music performed by classical guitarist, Amy Hite. She
is an extraordinary performer and I look forward to having her
back. I also look forward to having more Leisure Sundays with
amazing performers. A special thanks to all our volunteers and
staff, the set up was beautiful as always. ~ Richard Booth
Leisure Sunday
Celebrating the Fourth of July is one of the best parts about
summer. You get to barbecue with your family, watch fireworks, go
to a parade—take part in all the fun summer activities. It is also
a day of remembrance, a day in which 13 colonies declared their
independence from British rule.
We celebrate Independence Day because it is symbolic of the
courage those 56 men had in signing and committing an act of
treason against the British King. We celebrate the Declaration of
Independece because on the fourth of July it was adopted and gave
birth to a new nation, a free and independent nation from oppressive
rule and tyranny.
This day is very important to me. It represents not only our
independence but also so much more. I am truly grateful to our
service men and women who protect this beautiful nation in which
we live. Their service is a testament to the greatness of this country
and its independence.
I look forward to sharing this Independence Day with the
residents of Solera Diamond Valley and hope you will join us for our
BBQ Celebration in the Lodge back patio.
