FOUR SEASONS BREEZE | AUGUST 2017 5 By Jeri Mupo, General Manager MANAGER'S REPORT SHORT LEASH We love dogs – we really do. That's why the association is committed to enforcing the county leash law on association property. Allowing your dog to run free threatens your dog's health and welfare, and the health and welfare of other residents and animals. We also love our community, and all residents should have the right to enjoy it. We trust we can count on you for voluntary compliance with the leash law. We don't like to call animal control or start an enforcement action against you, but we won't have any choice if your dog is running free. AWNINGS AND UMBRELLAS As I was driving in to the office one morning I noticed there are more residents using their patios recently. This was noted by the number of umbrellas that remain open overnight. Please note the following rules regarding awnings and umbrellas, primarily the last line that all umbrellas must be closed each night. Awnings and umbrellas guidelines 1. Awnings, non-retractable umbrellas, and shade covers must be a neutral color to coordinate with the home's exterior color. 2. Non-retractable awnings, umbrellas, and/or any structures that cannot be closed each night are subject to the same approval requirements as a permanent structure. Closable and retractable awnings are not to be left open overnight. 3. Umbrellas shall not be placed on the front of a property (excludes Monarch side yard and Springdale patios). No more than two umbrellas may be viewable from common area without ARC approval. Umbrellas viewable from common area must be of the same color or same pattern. All umbrellas must be closed each night. SAY HELLO! I am excited to announce that after months of searching we have finally found the perfect candidate to fill the Project Coordinator position (new Assistant General Manager Saphire Rhodes' former position). I would like to introduce Amy Bardos. She started with our team on July 10 and looks forward to her contribution to our community. Please take a moment to say hi when you see her around the facilities. DOLLARS AND CENTS At the July 13, Board of Directors meeting the Board approved the following expenses: • Lodge automated pool and spa pool system: $23,336 • Summit UV filtration system: $34,572
