We will be presenting "Spanish Night," an evening of great Spanish dancing, singing and music. There will be other fun activities, plus the opportunity to buy original art from the talented Sun Lakes artists, at a low price. Tickets are $15 pp and will be available in the Main Clubhouse Lobby on Fri. and Sat., Oct. 5 and 6, or you may contact Rosa Gascoigne at 845-7219 or at rgascoigne@dc.rr.com. Appetizers and drinks will be available for purchase from the restaurant. Everyone in Sun Lakes is invited. October Monday Morning Class: Suni Godbold will be the instructor in watercolor on four Mondays beginning on Oct. 8, at 9 am in the Main Clubhouse Arts & Crafts room. This class is for all levels of experience. Members will be given priority in signing up for the class, but non-members may be put on a waiting list. The fee for class is $30 for the month for members and $35 for non-members. To sign up for the class with Suni or for more information, please contact Rosa Gascoigne at 845-7219. October General Meeting: Oil painter David Farrington will demonstrate his technique at the general meeting on Sun., Oct. 21, at 2 pm in the South Clubhouse. Each general meeting includes a mini-show where members may display their artwork. The winners of the August mini-show were as follows: 1st: Rosa Gascoigne, Ed Sterger and Doris Collins; 2nd: Lu Just, Helen Hori, Ingrid Repetti, Frank Bonarigo and Patti Cote; and 3rd: Nikki Corbett, Everett Inman and Marge Amstadter. We get together at the Main Clubhouse Arts & Crafts Room on the first, third (and fifth) Mondays at 1 pm. Share quilt designs, magazines, craft ideas, etc. We invite you to visit or join us at any time. We meet Tuesdays, 1 - 2:30 pm in the Arts & Crafts Room. If you can sew, knit, or crochet, come and join us as we do our part to help the local charities. Some of the local organizations we service are San Gorgonio Hospital, Child Help, H.E.L.P., Child Care Consortium, VNA California and V.A. Hospital at Loma Linda and local convalescent homes.
