COMMUNITY NEWS Emergency Preparedness Program (EPP) We are committed to informing the community about being prepared for emergencies and disasters. Be EPP Prepared is our motto. We encourage all to take advantage of the free CERT (Community Emergency Response Training) offered by the City of Beaumont. Congratulations to Michael Mendoza, another Four Seasons CERT trained resident. A reminder that the next class series is Thursday, Oct. 4, Saturday, Oct. 6, and Saturday, Oct. 13. You can call the city, ask for Emergency Services, and leave your name and number for enrollment. You may also enroll on line. There have been many reports of snake activity especially rattlers in the area. Please be careful when walking and keep your garage door shut and call animal control. AUGUST MEETING: John McLaughlin gave an in-depth presentation on fire safety with many handouts and tips. SEPTEMBER MEETING: Nurses from San Gorgonio Memorial Hospital spoke about a concern some have about the West Nile and Hanta Virus. OCT. 25 MEETING: The Action team leaders will give updates. NEWSFLASH: We will start planning for the upcoming EPP Safety Expo to be held on Saturday, Jan. 12. Come to the meeting and be a part of growing the Four Seasons Emergency Preparedness Program and activities. We meet the 4th Thursday of the month, at 10 am in the Lodge Ballroom. Please contact anyone for more information and participation. ~ Anita Worthen Neighborhood Watch Our next meeting is Friday, Oct. 12, where we will hold an open discussion on any concerns that you may have and encourage each other to be safe in and around the community. We look forward to seeing you then. There are CERT Training Classes on Oct. 4, 6 and 13, where you will learn many valuable tips for security as well. These are held at the City of Beaumont, you can register online at City of Beaumont CERT Training. As our community continues to grow we are always looking for people to expand our Neighborhood Watch Program and encourage all of us to watch out for each other.
